Every time I return to Sicily I always have the feeling of rediscovering a mythical dimension of existence, of living in the last land of the Gods, encapsulated by the magical atmosphere of these timeless places where the heart of the world beats... I know and its baroque soul renewed this love of mine and opened me up to new beauties previously unknown. Lulled by the exquisite kindness and competence of the Villadorata staff who had some refined, almost Gap-like attentions, as befits a place of such enchanting elegance and charm, I experienced the Sicily of myth and of my dreams. I therefore thank Giovanni and his excellent collaborators for these days that we will carry in our hearts.
The story of a prince, Corrado Nicolaci di Villadorata, and the story of Palazzo Nicolaci intertwine in the southeastern tip of Sicily, where an 18th-century building tells of the ancient house that made Val di Noto great. Here where time is measured in centuries, churches and noble palaces are the protagonists of the charming town of Noto. In the heart of the Baroque city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002, Seven Rooms Villadorata proposes a real aristocratic experience, in the private wing of the historic Palazzo Nicolaci. Seven Rooms Villadorata is a starting point for itineraries between the sea and the hinterland, where cultural, historical, archaeological and naturalistic destinations such as Siracusa, Modica and Ragusa meet together; a short distance from the Vendicari reserve, near the enchanting seaside village of Marzamemi, among millstones, farmhouses and many other elements that make up beautiful Sicily, in the last strip of the island that fades into the tip of Capo Passero.
We stayed here for our honeymoon recently- the building itself is absolutely gorgeous with jasmine blooming along the walls and along the balconies. The room was exquisite, beautiful art, tiles, architecture and sculptures. The best things about our stay was the exceptional service we received from every staff member we interacted with. They helped us with reservations, where to go, scheduling transfers to and from Ragusa at the last minute, and they even arranged for cafe Sicilia brioche to be delivered to our room the night before we left since we were leaving before breakfast service started. We will certainly return in the future! We loved everything about Noto, but our hotel was definitely a highlight.
This is surely a hotel experience you will appreciate. Inside the courtyard is ample parking for autos, which is a necessity if you want to see the real wonders of this beautiful island. The inns lush botanical entryway leads to a small intimate concierge area where your every question or need is attended to by the highly trained, professional, invaluable staff. We chose not to hire a guide and were well directed in our journeys again by Martina, Giovanni and concierge staff. The luxurious common areas, rooms and suites are impeccably appointed with sumptuous bedding and bath linens, soaps, etc. Cleanliness levels are upheld by the lovely housekeeping staff. We have booked our return for a longer stay next year; grazie to everyone at the Seven Rooms Villadorata for making our stay such a memorable one.
