A Return to the Osteria:
a journey back to our roots, a new beginning.
For Ida Brenna and Matteo Carnaghi, partners in life and chefs with distinct culinary souls, this moment marks a reflection, a crossroads where past experiences converge into a shared vision. Though their paths within the Villadorata resorts have been separate, they now intertwine around a common idea, finding their true essence in the Osteria.
Osteria Villadorata is not merely a place to dine; it is a space where the table is lived, where time is shared, where the aromas of memory and the flavors of tradition are constantly renewed. It is not just about dishes, but about the experience of a meal, of conviviality, of an atmosphere that envelops and engages.
Nestled within the ancient cellars of Palazzo Nicolaci in Noto, beneath pointed arches and barrel vaults, Sicily’s golden stone preserves a timeless ambiance. Here, the past converses with the present, and cuisine becomes a bridge between memory and innovation.

In a world that has often forgotten the value of slowness, here we celebrate sustainability, the rediscovery of ancestral knowledge, and the kitchen as an expression of love for the land and those who cultivate it.

And so, as haute cuisine increasingly recognizes the worth of local ingredients, the osteria elevates them into a social ritual—a meeting place, a piece of collective history.
Now more than ever, in an age of haste and distance, the osteria responds to a profound human need: to gather, to trust, to restore our connection to food and to one another.

The project is a sort of expansion of the walls of Spazionoto which extend up to those of OSTERIA VILLADORATA effectively becoming another exhibition gallery with national and international artists who will alternate over the seasons, coloring and lighting up the walls of the OSTERIA.

Osteria Villadorata is also a place of conscious choices: Slow Food’s presidia narrate the richness of the land, while the collaboration with the social cooperative Si può fare continues the path begun with Orti Villadorata supporting those in need of a fresh opportunity.
Because food is not only nourishment it is an act of care, of responsibility, of sharing.
il Menu
In the Menu we find the idea of sustainability, respect for the place, for its products. A cuisine that smells of the Mediterranean because the proposals on the table draw from the different gastronomic cultures of the Mare Nostrum basin.
The menu has dishes from the southern and Sicilian tradition, with some incursions from the Middle East and North Africa.
i Vini
The wines on our list are predominantly of Sicilian origin, complemented by a selection of sparkling wines, biodynamic and ancestral wines, and D.O.C. Marsala to conclude your meal. We also offer craft beers and a cocktail menu inspired by the aromas and flavors of the Sicilian land.
